# Pinvu

> Pinvu is an always-on-top notepad for Mac (Apple silicon, macOS 14+). It keeps notes, CSV/Excel spreadsheets and slides pinned above your apps, including full-screen apps. Invisible Mode can exclude its windows from supported screen-sharing and recording tools.

## What it solves
- Keeping a note visible on top of full-screen apps, across Spaces and displays. Apple Notes' Keep on Top and Stickies don't cover full-screen apps.
- Hiding talking points and notes from Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams screen shares (best effort; some recorders ignore it).
- Opening and editing a CSV on a Mac without Excel's blank workbook or Numbers converting it to a new document. Edits save back to the same .csv. Opens .xlsx too.
- Google doesn't make a Google Calendar desktop app for Mac. Pinvu shows Google Calendar natively and creates events with Google Meet links in one click.
- Meetings: a timer with agenda checkpoints, and linked transcripts (Google Docs/Meet, .vtt, .srt, .txt).
- AI without another subscription: the assistant uses the user's existing Claude or ChatGPT (Codex) plan from their Mac. Requests are not routed through Pinvu's servers.
- Slides with export to PowerPoint and PDF; preview of Word and PowerPoint files.
- Local-first: plain files on the Mac, optional Google Drive sync. No analytics or trackers.
